Dear Shaded Viewers,
Torches are handed out to members of the Jacquemus audience moments before their Spring/Summer 2013 show begins, although we soon find out they are scarcely needed. Brilliant whites and bursts of citrus colours are dominant throughout the collection, making it almost glow in the dark.
A sporty mood overall, femininity is not lost in the collection. Childish, girly silhouettes are made grown up with sheer fabrics. Outfits were styled with black Doc Martens and almost knee high black socks, while makeup and hair were kept to a minimum; maintaining the youthful vibe throughout the show.
For what I believe is this young designers first show, a very clear brand aesthetic has already been defined. I look forward to seeing where the future takes him.
