Designers Mia Lisa Spon and Rui Andersen Rodrigues Diogo showed today once again how a tailor and a graphic design background could turn out to be just the perfect combination of talents to produce a marvelous, aware, clean and measured collection on all sides. The soothing, spoiling touch of the finest fabrics was tempered by rigorous, dynamic cuts that followed the body with almost architectural accuracy. Lines and shapes to remind the slightly intimidating strength of sportswear, emphasizing shoulders and backbone, and a gentle tactile softness to praise the winning athlete. Fluid, liquid silks in cold colors flowed all along the bodies like poured milk or quicksilver, while denser fabrics borrowed the grey shades of rocks, their antique veins mirrored by faithful pleats.
