Bauke Knottnerus is a Rotterdam based designer. He is inspired by the 1980's using materials
often thought of as homely to create totally original works. His pieces have already been sold
at the Pierre Berge auction house. I visited his studio & found him working on diverse projects such as
textile designs, modular flooring, bright lacquered chairs made from root furniture & new versions
of his huge knitted coil-like seating currently installed in the Mode Museum in Antwerp (UNRAVEL.
