Dear Shaded Viewers,
With all the news of the fire in the Eurostar tunnel I was wondering if I’d ever get to London. I worked up until 3h and then got up at 5h to get myself to the Eurostar by 6h30. A line had already formed and of course we had no information as to the status of the Eurostar. Eventually the line started to move and I was able to board the train scheduled ahead of mine which was great because I later heard that my train had been cancelled. All this intro to say, I am exhausted and really did about 1/8th of what I had planned for my first day.
First show on my agenda was Charles Anastase, I’ve watched Charles’ career since he was participating at the festival d’Hyeres, I think…in 2002 or 2001. This was his first London fashion show and it was a great success.
Robb Young and Susie from Style Bubble and Dazed Digital, both looking beautiful as always.

Style.com’s Tim Blanks, I love his always camera ready face.
Imran, Mr. Business of Fashion and I went for lunch afterwards forgetting it was Sunday we went to my fave London spot, Rose Cafe. It was closed but we ran into Stephen Jones who will be launching his new fragrance Monday at Dover Street Market. He just finished the perfume’s hat 10 minutes before so this is the first image of it you will see.
Imran Amed, The Business of Fashion and Charles Anastase, who came in with his team for an after the show lunch.
After lunch I went back to my room at the Mayfair Hotel, the host for the London Fashion Week guests, then I was off to the exhibition of the master class of Westminster University.
I missed everything else tonight and can you believe it, I was too tired to even turn on my computer.
HIghlights of today will include Marios Schwab’s show today and a visit to 10 Downing Street.
Later,
Diane
