A few years ago Sonny Vandevelde was in Trieste at ITS and he met Susan Maria Dimasi and Chantal McDonald, the two designers from Melbourne that are behind the label Material By-Product. Sonny thought that I’d appreciate their work and so I asked them to meet me at a cafe around the corner from my apartment.
