The Vestoj Salon on Slowness a project by Anja Aronowsky Cronberg & Vestoj

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Anja Aronowsky Cronberg aka VESTOJ, The Journal of Sartorial Matters, wrote a performance piece that was acted out by Scarlett Rouge, Lola Peploe and Nick Haughton with a set designed by David Myron.  The event was produced by the Fondation Galeries Lafayette in the salons of Ekimetrics on the Champs Elysees in Paris. The act of getting dressed, priotised the journey over the destination. Scarlett Rouge hummed as she ever so slowly dressed Lola Peploe puncuated by Nick Haughton reciting a dialogue. Here are a few quotes from the notes:

"A writer once remarked that 'there is a secret bond between slowness and memory, between speed and forgetting'. In the fashion system this bond seems to take on a particularly poignant meaning, with the degree of velocity often appearing directly proportional to the time it takes to forget a style that just moments ago it seemed we could not live without."
