There’s something about the low hum of a big city after dark. Its latent electricity and the romantic tinkle of intertwining lives become a nocturnal creature of their own. For Jitrois’ Fall 2026 collection, this notion serves as the collection’s starting point—a familiar yet ever-alluring theme for designers and artists alike.
Since its founding in 1983, the house has been renowned for its mastery of stretch leather, shaping the body with such precision it feels like a second skin. Under the creative vision of Tristan Van Bruwaene and Jay Wilson, and the artistic direction of Jean-Claude Jitrois, this season explores the freedom of movement and the sensual beings that animate the Paris night.
Zipped leather jumpsuits, tight corsetry, and sculpted dresses form the collection. Architectural motifs appear across lace, mimicking the wrought-iron balconies of Paris’ Haussmannian apartments. Sharp, tailored leather jackets and coats layer over evening dresses, while leather trousers mimic casual denim.
Dark leopard print creeps across full looks, and faux fur trims hoods and sleeves, asserting these nocturnal characters as primal, animal-like individuals. Laser cutting reveals skin and creates shadow, while embellished shirts and stilettos glint beneath streetlight.
In the same spirit, the palette is charged with desire: deep black, intense red and burgundy, flecks of gold throughout, and splashes of electric blue and deep green.
The intoxicating hum of a city at night is universal, with the brand also noting a series of other inspirations, including the theatrical elegance of the London New Romantics, the legendary nights of Le Palace in Paris, and the sensual imagery of Helmut Newton. But at the heart of it, Paris has become the true soul of the brand, and the air that this collection breathes.
