The first solo show in Paris of Tiffany Bouelle, “HAJIMARI” “ハジマリ” at Tokyoïte Gallery -Gallery DD February 13-17 th

Dear Shaded Viewers,

HAJI MARI ハジマリ
Vernissage

Tokyoïte Gallery is pleased to present the very first solo exhibition in Paris of the French-Japanese artist Tiffany Bouelle, “HAJIMARI” “ハジマリ” (the beginning). She will present her latest creations on canvas, as well as tapestry and other structures on mirror.

After several exhibitions in Paris and Tokyo, Tiffany begins the year 2019 with a remarkable collaboration with “Moynat”, the flagship brand of LVMH, accompanied by the creation of the showcase for the Bon Marché department store.

Tiffany was born and raised in Paris to a French father who is an artistic director and a Japanese mother who is a stylist. After a year of research around drawing, she takes a more minimalist and colorful path where she finds inspiration through her travels and personal experiences.

For this exhibition, Tiffany traces her first artistic steps by awakening repetitive, abstract, modular forms. She finds inspirations from her recent travels, the warm colors of Italy, the ashy hues of Moroccan landscapes and Japanese minimalism.

Passionate about design, Tiffany proposes for this exhibition a series of unique and artisanal tapestries, handmade by a French craftsman.

“HAJIMARI” is the artist’s vision of the crossroads of cultures, between traditional French tapestry and Japanese minimalism.
