AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK SS/15 ZERO BY NANINE LINNING WITH COSTUMES BY IRIS VAN HERPEN – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

To celebrate the opening of the new edition of Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam, guests were treated to a unique and stunning performance from Dutch choreographer Nanine Linning, who asked the Amsterdam-based designer and winner of the Andam award to dress her male and female dancers. Entitled ZERO, her striking performance was animalistic, visceral and empowering at the same time. Before Linning's dancers hit the catwalk, guests were treated to a first part were they performed among the audience, with an exclusive soundtrack composed by Salvador Breed. Using a 4D sound system, Breed managed to surround visitors with his sounds, creating an intense and almost hypnotic experience. When the dancers started moving across the runway -often as groups and sometimes as couples- the emotion in the room was palpable.

Best,

Philippe
