Peter Pilotto, spring 2015 – by Silvia Bombardini

Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,

A kaleidoscope turned towards springs yet to come, or the stained glass rose of the Church of Psychedelia: there was something nearly spiritual and very electric in the textured mosaic of glitter and light that was Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos' new collection this season. Upon a milky, pearly skyline of organza, a zodiac of silky embroidery, of sequins and tinsel, Swarovski and Perspex, glowed bright in the filtered sunshine at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, bathed in primary colours. Short but solid, neatly folded and sensibly cut, minidresses were paired with ankle strap sandals and coated in glossy shine, almost Homeric and modernist at once, and with a fresh, hearty 70s vibe about them too.
