Thursday night, I was at the New York Film Festival for the screening of musician/artist/director Laurie Anderson's flm "Heart of Dog".
So far, it's my favorite film of the this year's festival.
The project began as Laurie wanting to do a film about her dog, Lolabelle.
But, it became a beautiful film that touches on her childhood, 9/11, the surveillance state, The Tibetan Book of The Dead – and the deaths of Lolabelle, her mother and her husband Lou Reed.
I loved everything about this film.
Following the screening, Laurie participated in a discussion and Q&A session with the audience.
