Dear Shaded Viewers,

If, like the antiheroine of Valley of the Dolls, you need to be up at 5am (or at cocktails by 5pm) and “Sparkle, Neely, sparkle!”—this is the collection for you.

Swarovski crystals abound in Luigi Borbone’s latest couture collection, complementing an opalescent palette and the designer’s signature gilded jewelry. And while it might be difficult to discern and decipher all of Borbone’s cited cavalcade of references—Tilda Swinton in Orlando, Kore and Persephone, Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Inferno—it’s easy to see what is truly there: beautiful clothes.
