I am quite pleased to have just discovered Holiday Magazine—the Travel & Lifestyle review popular during the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s for which legendary authors such as Hemingway, Kerouac and Colette once wrote—is being relaunched in Paris by Franck Durand, the French Art Director of Balmain, Isabel Marant, Zanotti et al.
The current “Scottish Issue” features collaborations with Irvine Welsh, stylist Joe McKenna, Stella Tennant, Isabella Cawdor, Jean Campbell and James Robertson; all of whom in some way capture the splendor of their native land. Tristan Garcia also describes his trip to the Orkney Islands, while Karim Sadli and Josh Olins showcase their photographs of the vicinity of the Scottish Borders and of the Inner Hebrides.
An interesting publication in the English language.
