3D PRINTSHOW AT THE CARROUSEL DU LOUVRE

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I discovered a few new things by attending the 3D Printshow at the Carrousel du Louvre this last Saturday, October 18th.

The event displayed how the latest advancements and innovations in this technology can change the way many industries operate—creating intricate products at a much larger scale than it was possible before, personalising them and eliminating many distribution problems.

The number of fashion designers, who presented works they created using 3D printing, was by no means small and shows this technique is not limited to industrial purposes and can also be a tool to expand the possibilities of artistic endeavors.

Noteworthy exhibitors in this vein were Laura Martinez X Wonderluk, Michaella Janse van Vuuren, Rob Elford & Nange Magro, Jorge Ayala and Dorry Hsu.

Best,

Armando Grant
