Dear Shaded Viewers,
Dennis Lim and the selection committee of The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New York Film Festival has once again demonstrated the power of cinema to provoke, amuse, baffle, and educate as evidenced in the first week of the festival.
Once again opening night was a glamorous affair. My evening started with a dinner with my consulting producer Robert Hawk and best friend playwright Catherine Gropper before the screening of Richard Linkletter’s new film LAST FLAG FLYING.
