Julian Schnabel Shiva Paintings at Galerie Templon 11 March till 13 May

Dear Shaded Viewers,

For the first time since the 1980, then 1983 and 1995 exhibitions, Galerie Templon presents a series of paintings that have not been shown before in France by the American artist Julian Schnabel. Using the hindu Shiva, Julien Schnabel initiates a conversation between two cultures the occidental and the Orient. He does this by applying words, gestures and abstract forms in oil and resin.

Schnabel was born in New York in 1951 and lives between NYC and Montauk, Long Island in the states. He is a sculptor and a film director and has been working since the end of the 70’s. His first exhibition in Paris was in 1980 at Galerie Templon.
