BARBARA I GONGINI showcased its installation together with a collaborative Film project MODULE MODULAR. Creations made out fabrics from previous projects formed the installation with a sustainable mindset. The designs created a voluminous presence in the installation space. BARBARA I GONGINI worked with bended clothing hangers, wrapped around in fabric from their stock, in order to create a futuristic creation. The concept for the installation and film project revolved around the transformation from a tribal tribe to a futuristic humanity, a mindful appreciation of being an animate entity. With this project BARBARA I GONGINI went back to her roots, the Faroese Islands. MODULE MODULAR is a visual collaboration with Mikkel Völcker and is accompanied by glimpses of shattered tribal music to techno tunes. Within the film the collaborators extend the idea of the model using clothing to dress up and down.
