11 years ago: YOHJI YAMAMOTO INTERVIEWED BY DIANE PERNET from DIANE PERNET JOYCE INTERVIEWS

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I enjoyed the BOF re- posted NVU with Yohji today and decided to go back into my archives for the interview I did with Yohji eleven years ago in celebration of the 40th year anniversary of the brand JOYCE, Hong Kong. I was sad to read last week that the JOYCE landmark store is closing. The end of an era, all I can say is that the 4 1/2 years I worked for JOYCE, with Joyce Ma, were unforgettable. I was delighted when asked to interview the designers that JOYCE brought to China for the first time. She had a vision and immaculate taste.

This morning I read these very interesting articles in NIKKEI Asia on Yohji. I think you would appreciate them too.
