Dear Shaded Viewers,
Discover the art of the cartoon both the serious and the irreverent at Metacartoons. The history of the cartoon will be screened at the Cinemas of Centre Pompidou through 15 screenings presenting the grand classics of the golden age of animation (Tex Avery, Walt Disney, Bud Fisher..) and the more recent films (The Mask by Chuck Russel as well as the Looney Tunes Back in Action by Joe Dante). Contemporarty artists – Zoe Beloff, Isabelle Cornaro and Martin Arnold – will discuss their works with these objects.
