Fashion Forward 3 Centuries of Fashion opens at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs – April 7 – August 14th

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Last night I got a preview of the new exhibition at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs celebrating the 30th year of its fashion section and the work created by designers who have left their mark on fashion history. The history in question goes from 1715 to 2015 and the exhibition continues till August 14th. The three centuries take us through a timeline of the evolution of fashion. Christopher Wheeldon and the set designer Jerome Kaplan have created a dream like atmosphere combining fashion, art and design.

You will find works that you've only appreciated in books, there are 300 pieces from the 18th century to today with pieces from the iconic designers of yesteryear and today: Elsa Schiaparelli, Chanel, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Comme des Garcons, Jean Paul Gaultier….and the list goes on.

Later,

Diane
