HAIDER ACKERMANN FALL WINTER 16/17 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

With rich textures, jewel tones and unexpected mixes, Haider Ackermann tapped into the decadent mood of the season, using velvet as a key accent throughout his show. Although the silhouette was often familiar -including narrow pants worn with masculine jackets- the designer explored new territory with some sensual and revealing dresses, which were streamlined and bold at the same time. He also reinterpreted the classic military jacket by cropping it and wearing it layered, turning it into a refined proposal. A green velvet pantsuit oozed dandyish cool while metallic finishes and pointed boots added a touch of glam rock to the whole collection.

Best,

Philippe
