JULIEN DAVID – FALL 2016

Julien David’s collection this season turned out to be extremely consistent. His material of choice – stretch Japanese denim – was featured in almost every look, often coupled with matching chunky knitwear. The originality came from the rounded shapes, and the thick layering made the clothes look as appealing as comfortable – all the more with the current freezing temperatures.

Fantastic sparkling silver headpieces by Olivier Schawalder sprouted on the models’ heads like a prop from Metropolis (hint from Diane herself). The soundtrack, which oscillated between cryptic phone screeches, submarine beeps and monastic chants, added an eerie feel to the whole.
