FASHIONPHILOSOPHY FASHION WEEK POLAND SS/16 – JAROSLAW EWERT – PHOTOS BY MIKE PASARELLA

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Inspired by architectural lines and geometric shapes, Jaroslaw Ewert focused on stylish separates with a futuristic feel, echoing the radical simplicity of Cardin's esthetics. Contrast piping was key, as well as monochrome patterns and structured tailoring, which Ewert's clients keep coming back for. If his menswear is usually more subdued than his womenswear line, the Polish designer nevertheless brought sexiness to his mens repertoire with slim fitting shirts, short jackets and narrow pants, which elongated the silhouette. He also reinterpreted the waistcoat, turning it into an outerwear piece with colored piping. The waistcoats were often layered, envisaged as the ultimate transitional item, underlining the dynamic appeal of Ewert's minimalism.

Best,

Philippe
