Wednesday night, I was at the Paley Center for Media to see the great comedian/entertainer Carol Burnett discuss her career and a new DVD release of the "lost episodes" from the first five seasons of her self-titled variety television series that ran from 1967-1978.
Naturally, there was a discussion of the fashion designs that Bob Mackie created for the show. Carol said that Mackie designed 50-70 costumes per episode.
Doing simple mathematics, if there were 287 episodes x 50 costumes/per week it equals over 14,000 during the television series run !
Also, there were funny video clips shown with commentary from Carol, from the "lost episodes".
It was wonderful to finally get a chance to see her in person.
