Diane Pernet Paris: the fragrances at Unscent Land – Pitti Fragranze 13

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I've just come back from Pitti Fragranze 13 where I attended UNSCENT LAND, an olfactory project devised by Celso Fadelli and Cristiano Seganfreddo from Intertrade Group. I think perfume connects strongly to memory, romance, sadness, joy and a whole host of other exhilarating emotions. You can pick a perfume to match or improve how you feel daily, creating your own scented wardrobe that will help you face the world. And it doesn’t require you to be thin, beautiful or young to smell it and to feel it yours…Among all the new collections there was of course DIANE PERNET PARIS, the perfume collection by Diane Pernet that was enriched by the the presence of a giant cashmere blanket with Diane’s portrait (by Alan Gelati) printed on it. The print is actually not a print, the image is a woven fabric, created exclusively for UNSCENT LAND. The theme of this year’s edition is the lunapark, a fun fair where images and visual guides you to smell the perfect scent. Have you found it yet?

I don’t know if it’s possible anymore, I vary my perfumes everyday I just know that when I want to feel enpowered I choose In Pursuit of Magic by Diane Pernet cause it lifts me up. Citrusy notes and incense touch my skin giving me energy. When I’m in an evening mood I choose Shaded, that sensation of salt on my skin it’s sensual and embracing at the same time as it recalls a midnight's bath into the sea thanks to the darkest note of vetiver. To Be Honest is Diane’s motto but also the fragrance I consider more daily even if it’s mystic and deep at the same time with that unmistakable notes of mhyrr and Cedar wood. Wanted is extremely carnal and spicy with juniper and nutmeg, I would consider it for a special night out. Those kind of situations when nothing is set and you can maybe stay up all night. I can't wait for some new fragrances coming out. Diane is working on them.

Stay tuned!

Later,
