If you are in London you could, in addition to viewing the exhbition, attend the talk give by Elsa Coustou, Assistant Curator, Tate discussing the subversive political nature of pop art as a starting point. The key themes discussed will be the relationship between consumerism and pop, the impact of folk art on pop and the shifts in society triggered by counter-cultue and feminist movements.
