deTROIT is hand crafted in the cities of detroit, brooklyn and new york. Robert Molnar, the designer behind the brand is a native of Detroit and was inspired by its architecture and grand boulevards as a child. Molnar has travelled the world but came back to Detroit to design and produce his first womenswear collection. He moved to NYC and the collection was well received, that is where and when we met a few decades ago. When he took a pause in his womenswear he went on to styling and costume design and then decided to create deTROIT his menswear collection which was presented yesterday in New York.
