Emilio Pucci S/S 2016 at Pitti Uomo – Text and Images by Eugene Rabkin

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

Yesterday I attended the Emilio Pucci presentation at Pitti Uomo in Florence. It was a first collection under the auspices of its new creative director Massimo Giorgetti, a former accountant and DJ who had catapulted MSGM to commercial success. Giorgetti, who is good at Instagram-friendly design, seems like a good fit at Pucci, the master of prints. In this collection, prints featured heavily, of course. Gone were the Pucci paisleys in favor of more modern, graphic take on the brand, while the fluid fabrics remained true to the house's ethos.

More soon,

Eugene
