The big announcement in Beijing today was that M.PATMOS was given the 2015 WOOLMARK PRIZE for women's ready to wear.
The prestigious jury was comprised of: Victoria Beckham, Angelica Cheung, Colin McDowell, Carla Sozzani among others. In the running were 60 designers from 21 countries, the finalists were : le Chinois V Major, STRATEAS>CARLUCCI from Australia, Bird on a Wire from Lemanon and Augustin Teboul from Germany.
The prize…100K Australian dollars and the collection will be distributed around the world in Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, 10 Corso Como, JOYCE, David Jones and Mytheresa.com.
Colin McDowell said that he thought that the collection was a very sophisticated use of Merinos wool for garments that were both elegant and with a young spirit.
