VALENTIM QUARESMA – MODALISBOA FW 15/16 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY RUI VASCO

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Specialized in handmade and striking jewelry, Valentim Quaresma presented a sensual and timeless collection in Lisbon, including statement necklaces and bracelets, as well as body jewelry and intricate headpieces. If the collection recalled Antiquity and the strength of Roman warriors, it also had a contemporary vibe, offering a playful take on precious combinations. The designer balanced skin with metal and leather, opting for the runway instead of a presentation format. His studded cuffs were beautiful, as well as his feather-like pieces, evoking the beauty of exotic birds. Quaresma also mixed feathers with metal, emphasizing the contrast between hard and soft. With a live band playing in the background and alluring bodies on display, this was a strong and exciting proposal.

Best,

Philippe
