Dear Shaded Viewers,
I met Sophie Delaporte early on in her career when she used to shoot for JOYCE HK. Since then she has had solo exhibitions at Marion Meyer Gallery in Paris, Scream Gallery in London and at sous les Etoiles in NYC. For more than 15 years she has created a style around color and movement which has become her signature both in her editorial and commercial projects.
True Colors, consists of 48 photographs and 4 videos. In a small room, her muse, the performance artist, Melissa Mourer Ordener, dressed in overalls, deconstructs fragile installations; mechanically putting colored masks in front of her face; reaching to giant plumes of smoke, blowing up and moving balloons.
The exhibition is up until March 25th.
