CFDA/VOGUE FASHION FUND AMERICANS IN PARIS FALL 2015 – BY JALEESA THIJM

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

U.S based brands came together at CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Americans in Paris. Let’s talk about a few designers that made an impression at this showroom.

Gigi Burris Millinery

A headwear designer who works with fine details such as leather cut into fine stripes that can almost look like feathers. The collection has a dark romantic tone, working with dark blues and black. She created a headband with fine strings that looked as a feathered barber wire, which she incorporates also into her hats.

Tome

Tome’s fall winter 2015 collection is feminine and strong lined collection. Tailored oversized coats, midi and maxi dresses and a pop of lace peeking under the hem. The color use is variable which makes the palette fit for every season and prints are used in a complementary subtle way.

Edie Parker

Colorful and practical bags, Edie Parker’s clutches and totes are made out of hard material making the designs long lasting. Inspired by vintage bags, every design has a mirror attached to the inside or has a mirror that comes with the bag. Clutches have great prints and details, making sure all eyes will be on the bag while carrying it.

Best,

Jaleesa
