A VISIT TO NICO UYTTERHAEGEN’S SHOWROOM – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Known for his expert use of leather and innovative treatment of delicate skins, Nico Uytterhaegen added a clothing capsule to his line this season, namely coats and vests, which can be transformed into everyday bags. If the Belgian designer knows his materials inside out, he nevertheless renews himself each season, coming up with fresh shapes and interesting proposals. His Japanese-inspired sock boots, featuring a sexy wooden heel, were urban and tough at the same time. With his growing perfume and jewelry collections, Uytterhaegen is going to find it hard to remain an insider's secret.

His collection can be viewed until the 2nd of October at Galerie de Thorigny, 1, Place de Thorigny, 75003 Paris.

Best,

Philippe
