Recently when I was in Mexico I met Mariana Villarreal, the designer behind the brand Sangre de mi Sangre. Her career began in Monterrey, Mexico where 10 years ago she started by making jewelry for herself but soon began selling it in her hometown. She travelled to Thyland, Burma, Cambodia, Colombia, Vietnam, India and the US looking for stones and inspiration. Currently she has a shop inMexico City in the area called Roma. This was the first neighborhood that she saw in Mexico City that inspired her to leave Monterrey and move. Sangre de mi Sangre has 2 lines: collections andcustom made jewelry. Light my Fire was inspired by Egypt.
