WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK SS/15 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Belgian designer Walter Van Beirendonck put on an exciting and creative show, focusing on innovative patchworks, subtle plays on deconstruction and vivid, exclusive prints. Despite being bold and rebellious, his collection also had an elegant and refined feel, with striking embroidered jacquard jackets and beautifully tailored shirts. Van Beirendonck experimented with volume and proportion this season, offering substantial kimono jackets in deluxe fabrics and loose printed tunics, which were worn over narrow pants. The lineup was youthful, energetic and inspiring, making it a forward-thinking and individual proposal.

Best,

Philippe
