Fendi in Rome, 1977. Apparently it’s the first fashion film in history. By Glenn Belverio

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Wow, this beautiful once-lost treasure is really getting me in the mood for Alta Roma in Rome this July. “Histoire d’Eau”, produced in 1977, was made to launch the first Fendi Ready to Wear collection. It has some lovely, languorous Roman moments. My friend Damion Matthews sent this to me and remarked, “It is said to be the first film made specifically for fashion — something Karl himself has continued to do a lot of recently for Chanel. I love the sensual mood, the setting, and wonderful music.”

Ciao bellas,

Glenn Belverio
