MAISON MINNIE MOUSE AT MOMU IN ANTWERP – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY TINE CLAERHOUT

Dear Shaded Viewers,

From the 3rd until the 20th of April, Disney celebrates sassy Minnie Mouse, one of its most iconic figures and a true fashionista. Since her first feature film in 1928, Minnie has been a constant source of inspiration for designers across the world, expressing positive values, a playful approach and uncompromising sense of style. Curated by Didier Vervaeren, the exhibition includes 5 exciting young talents, namely Minju Kim, Damien Ravn, Emmanuelle Lebas, Doriane Van Overeem and KrJst. Whether they be graduates from the Antwerp Academy or La Cambre Mode(s), the designers made sure they offered an individual and personal vision, working from head to toe. This one-off installation opens to selected guests at the MoMu in Antwerp tomorrow evening.

Best,

Philippe
