A VISIT TO DRIES VAN NOTEN’S SHOWROOM – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY DOMINIQUE LEFEBVRE

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Visiting Dries Van Noten's showroom in Paris is a bit like getting a little taste of heaven. The Belgian designer keeps surprising his devoted fans, with his rich and beautiful fabrics, timeless shapes, eye-popping prints and obsessive attention to detail. From hand-painted sweatshirts to gorgeous patchwork bags, his last collection had a luxurious, irreverent and nonchalant vibe. Silver was a key accent within the collection, giving several pieces a striking allure. I kept thinking that the best thing about his clothes is that they soon become your friends, as if they had been around forever. That's probably what makes him such a talented designer.

Best,

Philippe
