Quattromani at AltaRoma in Rome. By Glenn Belverio

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Hailing from Sardinia, design duo Massimo Noli and Nicola Frau combine their courage, desires and ideas for their brand Quattromani. A finalist in the ninth edition of Who Is On Next?, the scouting project organized and developed by AltaRoma in collaboration with Italian Vogue, Quattromani is known for their clean-cut lines and sculpted volumes.

Their F/W 2014-15 collection shown at AltaRoma last month was an important collaboration with Alcantara (remember Halston’s Ultrasuede?). This gave life to lamimated mesh cocktail dresses, mini bombers, overcoats and sporty sweatshirts.  The sweatshirts featured an unusual Muridae print inpired by the controversial, surreal sculptures of Katharina Fritsch.

I took this photo of the audience by accident but I think I caught something lovely in this woman’s pose.

Spotted! That indefatigable duo, Bryan Boy and Susie Bubble. They mercilessly rule the blogosphere with Prada-clad iron fists.

Thanks for reading.
