One of my most favorite haunts, The Tuck Shop, celebrates it's first year anniversary. This is the first authentic Aussie cafe in Paris and fast became 'the' spot for delicious vegetarian and vegan fare in a cozy retro-cool decor. The Tuck Shop ladies, Stella, Anna and Rain kick off this November with their second year in a completely revamped menu of homemade delicacies.
Don't worry some of the much-loved classics will remain on the menu while offering a much larger range of tasty fusion and vegan options like the 'Bok choy shitake mushroom rice salad and the Speciality Wraps like Rain's tofu spring rolls and Anna's red beans and rice avocado wrap. Everything is fresh and in tune with the season. Expect the unexpected with Tuck Shop sandwiches, one of my favorites is the fresh hummus and grilled aubergine. The deserts are other worldly..double layer Raspberry rose cake glazed with delicious icing, Anzac oatmeal coconut biscuits and the scones are by far the best in Paris.
Tuck Shop Weekend Brunch is back, bigger and better than ever. Along with amazing coffee, tea, fresh juices, Tuck Shop now serves 'Fentiman's' all natural sodas, Australia's own 'Cooper' beer and 'Brasserie Thierez' artisan organic beer.
