SHORT FILM SYNOPSIS:
Sophia is the Greek word for Wisdom and the personification of all divine femininity. Sophia is the divine daughter who receives from her Pygmalion all the accumulated knowledge, which helps her to begin her own creative journey. Through this procedure, all laws of creation are renewed. The film captures the awakening and the dressing ritual of Sophia by the Pygmalion, in a framed dramaturgy between dream and reality. A symbolic interpretation of the initiation ceremony of Sophia entering womanhood.

SHORT DIRECTOR BIO:
Janos Visnyovszky (32) is based in Budapest, working as a media designer, videographer and cameraman.  His interest in fashion pushed him in search of collaborations with creative people around the world. Presenting fashion in different audiovisual forms like video reportages or artistic projects, Janos loves to explore the world of media creating his own interesting platforms. After finishing MOME University of Arts in Budapest, he went behind the direction of documentary “Vier Fuchse Vor Fuchsbau” (20minutes) featuring the works of Filep Motwary and Maria Mastori. The video was presented in Japan by 360Fashion.net and Cyprus Nationa lChanel.  In March 2009, another collaboration with designer duo Motwary*Mastori has as result the short film “Sophia” which was also presented by Dazed&Confused’s Dazed Digital a month later. Janos video for Chevrolet has just won second prize in Budapest, Hungary.
