Dear Shaded Viewers,

I travel to Vienna every year for fashion week and one the highlights of the event is always the Tiberius show. This season, designer Marcos Valenzuela chose the theme of “Conquest” for his fall collection of precision-cut leathers and sensual knits.

“As I started working on Tiberius ‘Conquest’, I had a
clear mission: To reach more people and to conquer other stores,” Marcos tells me.
“We’ve been working and dreaming of going wholesale with the label, and
we needed a collection that everybody can wear–a revolution in our
brand. Then I remembered that little man, who is ‘just like me’, who
conquered with a vision and discipline: Napoleon. His quotes were an
inspiration for the collection: ‘He who fears being conquered is sure
of defeat.’ This quote has become my mantra.”

Tiberius started 21 years ago as a fetish shop. Eight years ago Marcos started mixing elements of the past of Tiberius
with a more romantic sensibility. When in Vienna, one must visit the Tiberius shop (where the after party was held). You’ll definitey want a leather jacket or a sharp suit.

Like last year, I snuck backstage to get some shots of the models….especially the male models because Tiberius always features the studliest ones in Austria…
