Dear Shaded Viewers,
Lee Alexander McQueen only permitted one photographer backstage at his fashion shows over a thirteen year period; and flicking through Anne Deniau's latest book "Love Looks Not With The Eyes", it is clear that he made the right choice. The previously unseen images are intimate portraits rather than fashion photographs. There is a frantic atmosphere prevelant at any show during fashion week, and yet Deniau has managed to capture beautiful, almost serene moments amid the madness. The photographer was in The Space in Paris this evening to sign copies of the book.
