FILM SYNOPSIS:
When Inez and Vinoodh signed on to shoot the fall/winter 2010/11 Balmain campaign starring Kate Moss, they did so as double agents. Without anyone knowing, they set up four surveillance-style cameras to capture Moss’s unbridled performance on set. The short film, titled Everglade, takes its name from the haunting Antony and the Johnsons song that serves as its soundtrack. (from nowness.com)
DIRECTOR’S BIO:
Inez (Amsterdam, 1963) and Vinoodh (Amsterdam, 1961) have been working together since 1986. In the early 1990s, they counted among the first practitioners to use digital-imaging technology as a creative medium. They developed a powerful aesthetic vocabulary oscillating between fascination and repulsion, and are among the very few artists who have successfully crossed the line separating fashion from art.
