Dear Shaded Viewers,

From monochrome to multicoloured, pleated to knitted, the Issey Miyake show was built up like a crescendo.

The quintessential pleats were prominient at the start of the show. Printing and heat application techniques were used to create visual illusions, and add depth to the fabric. These garments are begging you to examine them closely and marvel the technology. Knitwear came in the form of loosely fitted dresses in an array of striped patterns and colours, bouncing down the runway as the models walked.

Preceding the finale, models gushed out in quick succession walking fast, zigzagged paths. It was a spectacle of colour and motion where your eyes could not rest for a second. Birds and feathers were the inspiration behind the collection, and at that particular moment it felt as though you were amidst a tropical flock.
