Dear Shaded Viewers,

A lazy summer afternoon in Paris. I met my friends Marc Audibet and Marco de Rivera at les Deux Magots for a tea. The plan was to pass by the pop up atelier of XVI to pick up my new bespoke shirt but as I was running late, Pascal Gautrand, the founder of XVI,  Made in Town, hand delivered it to me. We were all quite taken by the packaging.

You probably have no idea how difficult it is to find a nice, simple, well cut black cotton shirt. Simplicity, after all, is elegance. You would think that would be the easiest thing in the world to find but, take my word for it, as one who has searched far and wide for a simple, well cut, black cotton shirt, it is not. Final result is I went to Pascal Gautrand's custom shirt atelier in Paris, XVI,  and together with Antonella Fustini designed, what for me, is the perfect black shirt.  They specialize in mens shirting but they also cut for women.
