FERROFLUID SCULPTURE INSTALLATION
Bogomir Doringer | Rein Vollenga, 2012

– Ferrofluid is a liquid that becomes strongly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field. Using the highly artificial aesthetic of ferrofluid as ornaments/jewelry applied to a traditionally handcrafted sculpture while combining an interdisciplinary practice in creating an object that transforms itself in front of the eyes of the audience. Technical support: Josef Fidler (TU), Thomas Sandri and Daniel Schatzmayr | Funded by BKVB and Mondrian foundation.

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The Technosensual exhibition features designs from well-known futurists of fashion and visionary designers who have distinguished themselves through contemplative aesthetic designs that attempt to respond to questions. The garments or objects are equipped with electronic components and have an interactive character. Finally we can get an idea of what garments might look like in the future.
