Dear Shaded Viewers,
This week designer Robert Kupisz launched his new collection in Warsaw, Poland with a show in collaboration with singer Anna Maria Jopek and artists Matthew Miles and Konrad Wyrebek, who created an art video for giant-screen projection.

The show and after party was held in the giant and atmospheric Soho Factory in the buzzing Praha district, and was attended by Elle and Marie Claire and some of the most famous faces in the country, including Monika Olejnik, Szymon Majewski, Maja Ostaszewska, actress, and the fashion designer Gosia Baczynska

Kupisz' collection for men and women was inspired by the poetry of Krzysztof Kamil Baczynski, the young writer who lost his life with so many of Poland's youth during the occupation of Warsaw in the Second World War. Underscored by the live music of Jopek, the models made a sombre procession down a long wasteland of a runway, framed by the vast projection of the 15-minute abstract art video by Matthew Miles and Konrad Wyrebek.

Miles' and Wyrebek's video also drew inspiration from the fallen young heroes of the Warsaw Uprising, exploring themes of transformation, transcendence and the possibility of beauty in destruction.
