Dear Shaded Viewers,

Even though we spent most of our time in Addis Ababa, we drove once outside the city to go to Green Lake in the Debre region. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place, where you could only hear the birds, wind and water. We met some teenagers there who were collecting water from the lake. They kept on laughing when we showed them our pictures and I don't think I had ever seen such happy faces.

We had lunch at the Dreamland restaurant where we had some Shiro with Injera bread. I wasn't so keen on the bread, which has the texture of a pancake with an acidic taste, but the Shiro was delicious.

We bought some oranges on the way back and I loved the way they looked.

The taste is like a cross between an orange and a lemon.

Best,
Philippe
