Dear Shaded Viewers,
The first time that I saw the work of Idiots was more than 5 years ago in the window of Kokon To Zai in Paris. I love their logo: "This must be designed by Idiots." Idiots is made up of two artists: Afke Golsteijn and Floris Bakker. Their work combines animal material with embroidery, pearls and gold. By playing with the themes fantasy and reality they emphasize the border between life and death. Each piece tells a story and through their art the dead animals are reborn. Here are a few images of their work shown at Artkitchen Gallery Amsterdam 09.
